ACCOUNTABILITY

Project Policies, strategies and budget are subjected to approval by AWAD Managment. There are periodic reporting, reviews, Annual General meeting, Board meetings and occasional visitation by the funders and Service providers. Financial transaction is guided by professional accounting discipline with proper accounting books.

PROJECT ORGANISATION & AUTHORITY

AWAD Management have setup a Project Committee who formulate policies and strategies, and is composed of people with proven honour and integrity, that have made previous contributions to the community. A member of the Board of Directors of AWAD chairs Project Committee. AWAD Managment approves project policies, strategies, budget and Support the Project Committee which manages all projects.

ACHIEVEMENT RECORD

AWAD produces high quality small and medium scale trainning, exhibitions and educational workshops on culture and local-global issues. It's policies stimulate learning and dialogue in arts, heritage and development education. Acheivment records includes:

  • Intercultural Learning Summit, collaboration with Wilberforce Institute, Hull 2006
  • Radio Heritage Link 2006 exhibition, used by Essex museums and Library Services for the Boy Scouts’ centenary anniversary in 2007.
  • West African Women Traders’ Link with English Textile Industry Merchants 2005.
  • Tea Heritage Link Exhibition 2004 in Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester.
  • A three year Intercultural Learning project with six European countries and opportunity for fifteen African women and men visit to six European countries 2002-2005.
  • Africa Arts in Health 2002 with LIME Arts and NHS Manchester mental health & Social Care Trust.
  • Development of intercultural learning methodology in partnership with 6 European Countries since 2002 - 2005.
  • 120 grassroots community groups, registered members of AWAD International Network.
